Villa A Utd H Chelsea A Liverpool H How many points can you see them picking up from this run of games and how much of an effect will it have on the rest of their season? |

honestly? 4 i think they will beat us as we are playing pretty bad at the moment, i really cant see them getting anything against united and chelsea as those 2 teams are just better imo villa is a 50-50 one but i can see it going either way so i will just go down the middle as fergy says, games against the top 4 dont determine the winner of the league, its how you do against the mid and lower end teams that defines who will be champion |

Absolutely no idea. Arsenal is a team that could take 3 or 4 points from those fixtures but could also take 10 points. As for the effect, it all depends on how positive the team is. Back in the day, you could pretty much guarantee that a couple of defeats would set off a pretty bad patch but Arsenal are not really responding to bad performances or bad results in the same way. The whooping we got against Chelsea was the last time we lost in the league and the response after that was pretty strong. Personally, I think Arsenal should look at it as a good thing to get them out of the way, whatever happens. If we get a good set of points from these games, there's a bit of pressure off. To have played all of the Big 4 and Villa for the season and be in a good position would be a massive boost for us. If we don't get good points, the club will have to take a positive from the fact that apart from between Villa and Pool, there are still matches to be played amongst those four teams so there will still be points dropped somewhere. |

7 points, I think we'll win against the Scousers and Aston Villa. Draw against United and Chelsea will bully us off the park once again and win 2:0.

I think they will lose to chelsea but chelsea are playing good football atm, if they try to go out and outplay arsenal it could be a mistake |

I thought so too but it can give a team the edge. We lost to Man United and Chelsea. Chelsea have taken nine points from the other Big 3, right? That's given them an edge over us and Man United. |

No chance I don't think. Any team would struggle to win 4 games in a row against those clubs. I think about 6 points tbh. That'd do tbh and keep them in the race. If they have a bad run then I can see it effecting them in the games after this as the press will have a field day. |

The best thing about this for Arsenal is if they get in the right frame of mind (raise their game) from the start they can move from one game to the next at the same level. That may actually be better than playing say Villa, then Hull, then United, then Fulham, then Liverpool and so on. I think Villa are leaking goals at the moment so it will probably end 4-2 to Arsenal. Utd are too dependent on Rooney who will probably have a frustrating game so the best they can hope for is a draw, and Liverpool will be outplayed and end up down to 10 men at some point. So imo 9 points there and then a point against chelsea so 10 in total. |

I think Chelsea will beat them, they will beat Liverpool, draw against us, and draw/win against Villa. Villa Park, so could go anyway. Edited by The Sicilian, Jan 25 2010, 10:45 PM.
