QPR's 8th manager in 3 years has been confirmed as none other than Paul Hart, rumours started circulating of his appointment before Magilton had even been shown the door. Hart has signed on until the end of the season but will be lucky to see the end of that contract before getting sacked.

Queens Park Rangers have named Paul Hart as their new manager.

As revealed by skysports.com on Wednesday, Rangers had lined up Hart as their new boss following the departure of Jim Magilton.

Magilton and his assistant John Gorman left Loftus Road on Wednesday night by mutual consent following Magilton's bust-up with Akos Buzsaky after the 3-1 defeat at Watford earlier this month.

The Northern Irishman had been suspended by the club in the wake of the bust-up and following an internal inquiry into the incident the former Ipswich manager has left Rangers.

Rangers have moved quickly to fill the void by bringing Hart to Loftus Road on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Hart, who was sacked by Portsmouth last month, will be assisted by former Luton boss Mick Harford, who had a spell as caretaker manager at Rangers in 2007.
