Blitzen has just told you why he would be illuminated. Lights on the lunar landing. Having said that most of the surrounding area should be black as well, unless the guy is using a flash on his camera. |

Depending on the angle of said lights on the upper exterior - then there should be a shadow around the whole of the lunar landing, not just the slanted one that you can see in that picture. |
