It's nearly Christmas
|
Just been reading an article that following today's result, there are only two teams left in the title race even at this early stage of the season...United and Chelsea. Even United are 5 points behind and we aren't halfway through yet. Is Arsenal's push now over? |

Both CFC and Pool were 8 points clear at this time last season and neither won the Prem. Far to early to say IMO. |

arsenal were never in it flak, atm it is too early but uniteds and chelsea's squad is better than arsenals and liverpools. if all teams are suffering from injuries which they are then i expect a united and chelsea horse race which is exactly what is happening unless arsenal buy a top striker in jan and a top cm then they wont challenge at all if liverpool dont get their cm sorted then 3rd is all they can hope for |

Arsenal have a better squad than United, we are still in it so no idea what you are on about when saying we were never in it. |

United are a better unit and have a better mentality than Arsenal imo. Don't think the league is Chelseas yet. Arsenal have all the other members of the big 4 in a row don't they in the new year, think I read that somewhere? If they stayed with the pace and won all three of those they would be laughing. Liverpool have a pretty easy fixture list (on paper) now for awile so heres hoping. |

arsenal didnt have a better squad last season or this. they have have depth in players but its quality that counts, not quantity. on top of this arsenal do not have a winning mentality |

last 3 games united have played well IMO. arsenal have been on the top of their game until the last 3 games. loosing at stamford bridge 1 0 is expected and at anfeild. think is arsenal r missing key players (RVP, Cesc, Gallas) they will struggle more then united missing rio, rooney and fletcher(currently our best CM) i do think arsenal have a very strong squad, which is probably stronger than city, liverpool, spurs and villas squads. main problem is there defence is no where near the quality of united or chelsea's. alex/brown/doudjou(sp) i know which i would have last, i dont think he is on the level of evans, else wenger would not have bought in a CB Edited by Jeffers, Nov 30 2009, 12:17 AM.

your last point was spot on, its something i said before agger, gerrard and torres played like 3 league games together last season, 2 out of those played 14 yet we got 2nd. this season those 3 plus 4 others have been out united miss their first choice cb and tons of other players yet they come through it arsenal imo were collapsing last season even with fab at the start when 1 of their key players goes down. they need another superstar in that team. every real tough team arsenal faced they have been taken out the three big ones, city, united and now chelsea beat arsenal. the thing is you knew arsenal would lose before the start of these games, no fear factor |

united went on that run of not conceding and used over alot of different players. i dont think arsenal could do anything like that with their current side . arsenals strongest area of the squad depth is wingers and fullbacks |

you are copying what i said yesterday they have amazing quality in depth in their wingers and full backs, that was the point i was making but problem is they dont have it in the core of their team, on top of that their cm still isnt good enough in tough situations |
