I have to say that current Spain team are probably the most impressive International team I've ever seen. The line up of midfielders and attackers they possess is astounding. TBH, it's slightly unfortunate for them that they are not aiming to retain the world cup they had the potential to win in 2006. Had it not been for the disruptive presense of the old guard (Raul, Salgado etc.) and a freakish performance by the great Zidane in the 2nd round it could have been Spain's tournament. The manner of their victory and the style with which they played at Euro 2008 leads me to believe that it'll be very very difficult to stop them in South Africa next summer. The only way that they'll be stoped as far as i can see is either an extreme off day at the knock out stages or an enourmous raft of injuries! The other leading teams, Aregntina, Brazil, Italy, Holland, France are a level below them at this time! |

when u can loose senna and iniesta and replace them with alonso and cesc, no other international team can match that strength in depth from midfield. they have easily the 2 best strikers in the world currently and the best GK |
