They've always had the FIAT/Ferrari money, just not spending as heavily as before.

Diego for €15m and Quagliarella for the same plus Cannavaro on a free is'nt that much but English teams standards

What'd you make of Del Piero's situation next season?

With Diego in now it might limit Del Piero's game because for Diego to shine the team would have to be built largely around him yet Del Piero was super with Zizou which makes it difficult to see how things will pan out...

Lol there's been reports that he's become disillusioned at Juve and he look elsewhere...I don't really see that happening but United have already tried to snatch him before and I would love to see him come to England.

Juventus are planning to raid the Bundesliga again and close a deal for highly rated Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci.

The 22-year-old German of Turkish origin has made 29 appearances for Stuttgart this season, scoring a single goal.

Tasci has been a regular for Stuttgart for three years and played a part in their title winning side in 2007.

He made the first of seven appearances for Germany in a 2-0 victory over Belgium on August 20, 2008.

Juventus believe Tasci can provide Fabio Cannavaro with some much need competition at centre-back.

He has a contract with Stuttgart until 2010 and, rather than waiting for it to expire, the Bianconeri want to open negotiations now.

According to juventusnews.tk, it has been reported that Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved will continue running on the playing fields for another season following a meeting with his club, who managed to convince him not to retire and instead accept a one-year deal extension.

Nedved is expected to receive around €1.7 million, including bonuses tied to the number of appearances he will make next term.

The 36-year-old had announced that he would retire at the end of this campaign and in fact, following the elimination from the Champions League, he had stated that one of his biggest regrets was that he never won the trophy with the big ears.

However, now he will have another shot at glory as he will have the opportunity to fight another season in Europe's most prestigious competition and maybe finally make his dream come true.

Nedved has been at Juventus since 2001 following his move from Lazio, and has made 246 league appearances for the club, scoring 51 goals in the process.

Good news for the Juve faithful.

"It's a beautiful day for me and I want to thank everyone here, the fans, the club. We had a great season and I can now stop playing with calm and tranquility," Nedved told Sky Sport Italia.

"I didn't stop running today, now I will stop and I will stay close to my family. I have stopped playing, that's it for me now.

"Now I will dedicate my free time to my family and give all the time they have waited for me back to them."

Nedved took the opportunity to thank his team-mates, and revealed that he has promised Amauri the number 11 shirt.

"I want to thank [Alessandro] Del Piero, he has been a great captain over the years. Now I will leave this number to Amauri," added the midfielder.

"I didn't expect all this and I am extremely happy to have played for these fans," concluded Nedved, clearly moved by the whole experience.

Yup, hopefully now Giovinco can come into a bigger role at Juve

Alessandro Del Piero today signalled his intention to finish his career at Juventus by signing a new 12-month contract extension.

Del Piero's previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season but he is now tied to the Bianconeri until June 2011.

The 34-year-old said: 'I am happy to remain here for two further years. I am proud of this contract extension, it gives me great satisfaction.

'It is here where I have played at the highest level. The negotiations were very quick and I will give everything to pay back the trust handed to me by the club.

The World Cup-winning striker made his Serie A debut with Juve in 1993 and has been there ever since.

Del Piero scored 13 goals in 31 league appearances for Juve last season. 'I want to play football as long as I can guarantee my quality,' he said.

'My relationship with this club goes beyond the professional scene.'
